Last week The Lead did their annual Innovation Summit — their largest event of the year. On Day 2, I had the opportunity to lead a workshop with Ron Thurston on the topic of DTC Stores, where we had the opportunity to hear from, and workshop with, a range of brands:
DTC brands with no stores, but with a curiosity around them
Brands with 1 store, wondering how to work out some of the kinks
Brands with 2-5 stores, thinking about preparing for scale
And brands with 10-20 stores, with a mix of questions
I loved the workshop so much I’ve decided to make it a formal offering for brands of all sizes — and doing the first few for free as I refine the program!
Sign up below, or keep reading for some more details on the program structure.

1REC will be offering 4 types of workshops:
Retail 101: an introduction to the channel; best for those who have zero stores or experience
Retail 201: achieving scale; best for those who have opened a popup or two, and are wondering how to “do it for real,” and/or accelerate an existing rollout program
Retail 301: refining the channel; best for those who are approaching/at maturity, and are looking to get more out of existing stores for growth vs opening new stores
Retail 401: reducing your footprint; best for those who are at/past retail maturity and are looking for strategies to reduce or optimize their footprint (closing isn’t always a bad thing!)
While the general theme of each is clear, the workshop will be curated for your business needs specifically. We will meet beforehand to align on an agenda to ensure we cover all relevant topics and details that are top of mind for you.
And, most importantly, you will walk away from the workshop with functional templates, guides, and access to a host of other resources at your disposal.
If you’re a vendor and would like to collaborate on a program, shoot me a message at andrew@1rec.co or learn more about 1REC here.
